God's Plan for You
God tells you He loves you…
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten
Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have
eternal life.” John 3:16
God demonstrates His love for you…
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while
we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
Eternal life is a free gift…
“But the gift of God is eternal life.” Romans 6:23
GOD loves you
and wants to give you eternal life.
is a sinner…“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”3:23
Jesus died on the cross and took the punishment from
God that we deserve…
“He [God] made Him [Jesus] who knew no sin to be sin on our
behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God…”
II Corinthians 5:21
Jesus is the only way to God…
“Jesus said to him, I am the way and the truth, and the life; no
one comes to the Father, but through Me.” John 14:6
Jesus Christ did something
we could not do for ourselves.
The Bible is clear…
“But as many as receive Him, to them He gave the right to
become children of God, even to those who believe in His name.”
To receive Jesus we must…
1. Repent of our sin. To “repent” means to agree with God
that you have sinned and need His forgiveneness.
“Repent therefore and return, that your sins may be wiped
away…” Acts 3:19
2. Place our faith in Jesus to forgive our sins. “Faith” is believing
and trusting that Jesus’ death on the cross is sufficient to save
us from God’s judgment.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith.” Ephesians 2:8
Consider these questions based on what you have just read.
Does what you have been reading
make sense to you?
1. Is there any reason why you would not be willing to receive
God’s gift of eternal life?
2. Are you willing to repent (turn away from) of your sin and
place your faith in Jesus right now?
3. If you mean business with God and this prayer reflects the
desire of your heart, pray this prayer right now and Christ will
give you the promise of eternal life:
You can place your
faith in Jesus right now
by praying this prayer.
“Lord Jesus, I need you. I admit that I am a sinner.
Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I believe
that God raised you from the dead, so that I might
have the promise of eternal life. Take control of my
life. Make me the kind of person you want me to be.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
Assurances of Eternal Life –
The Bible promises eternal life to
all who receive Jesus Christ.
“And the witness is this, that God has given us eternal life, and
that life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does
not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have
written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, in order
thatyou may know that you have eternal life.” I John 5:11-13
